Admission Requirements for the Home Health Aide Program 

To qualify for enrollment in the Home Health Aide Certificate Program at Compu-Med Vocational Careers (CMVC), prospective students must meet the following requirements: 

  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Applicants must provide proof of a High School Diploma or a recognized equivalent, such as a General Equivalency Diploma (GED). 
    • If a student’s High School Diploma is from a foreign, non-English-speaking country, they must submit a certified translation in English and a document verifying that the diploma is equivalent to a U.S. high school level. 
  1. Minimum Age Requirement
    • Students must be 18 years of age or older to enroll in the program. Prospective students under 18 must provide proof of legal emancipation. 
  1. Admissions Interview
    • All applicants must participate in an admissions interview conducted by a CMVC Admission Officer. During this interview, students will be introduced to the services and programs offered by the institution and have their qualifications evaluated. The admissions team will assist and guide applicants through the enrollment process. 
  1. Conduct and Behavior Standards
    • CMVC reserves the right to deny admission to any applicant whose conduct or behavior is disruptive or who may interfere with the school’s orderly functions. 

 

Technical Requirements for Online Courses 

  • Computer: Must have a current operating system (Windows 10 or Mac OS X 10.7+). 
  • Internet Access: A stable DSL or broadband connection. 
  • Browser: Up-to-date browsers with cookies enabled. 
  • Anti-Virus Software: Regular updates are required. 
  • Software: Word processing software like Microsoft Office (available for free to CMVC students).
