Not every program or delivery format is available at every location, and availability may change by term or state. Yes. CMVC operates through campuses that are accredited and authorized under the requirements of their respective states. CMVC's campuses are institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges. Florida locations are licensed by the Commission for Independent Education, and the Dallas branch is approved and regulated by the Texas Workforce Commission.

Admission requirements vary by program and campus. General requirements include a High School Diploma and/or recipient of an Equivalent (General Educational Development credential), valid identification, meeting CMVC's technical requirements and passing the Digital Assessment Exam. Some programs may also have age, assessment, entrance-exam or professional-license requirements. After you apply, an Admissions Advisor reviews your selection, explains any additional documents and helps you understand the next steps.

Yes, but you will need additional documentation. A diploma issued outside the US requires a certified English translation and an evaluation confirming that it is equivalent to a United States high school diploma. College transcripts earned outside the United States may require a separate course-by-course evaluation. Because documents differ, confirm the exact requirements before ordering or paying for an evaluation.

Yes. Nursing requirements depend on the program and campus. Applicants to the Associate of Science in Nursing program and the Practical Nursing program will need an approved entrance exam. The Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program requires an active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license and qualifying nursing transcripts. Nursing programs are not available at every campus, so confirm current eligibility and location requirements before applying.

Program length and schedules depend on the credential, campus and course requirements. For example, the Medical Assistant and Dental Assistant diploma programs are approximately 45 weeks, while Medical Billing and Coding is approximately 58 weeks. Many programs offer day or evening schedules, but externship and clinical hours may follow a different schedule. Confirm the current class times before arranging work, transportation or childcare.

Yes. CMVC offers online, distance-learning and hybrid options for selected programs. The format depends on the program and campus, and online coursework may still include required in-person labs, externships or clinical experiences. Students need reliable internet, an updated browser, word-processing software and a compatible computer. Some healthcare software requires a Windows computer, so review the technology requirements before classes begin.

Financial Aid may be available to students who qualify and are enrolled in eligible programs. The process usually begins by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, commonly called the FAFSA. Submitting the FAFSA does not guarantee aid or full coverage of your educational costs. A CMVC Financial Aid Officer can review your information, explain available options and tell you whether additional documents are needed.

Your total cost depends on the program, campus, credential and any additional requirements. Ask for a clear estimate that includes tuition, registration, books, supplies, uniforms, examinations and possible externship or clinical expenses. Previous education or training may be considered through an individual evaluation. You will need to provide official transcripts and, when applicable, certified translations or credential evaluations. At least 25% of the credits required for a CMVC program must be completed at CMVC. Acceptance is not automatic, and another institution decides whether it will accept CMVC credits if you transfer in the future.

A transcript review can show whether previous coursework may apply to your program. Ask Admissions about a transfer-credit evaluation.

An externship or clinical experience is supervised training completed in a professional setting. It allows students to apply what they have learned while working with established procedures and supervision. Several CMVC programs include in-person externships, labs or clinical experiences even when some coursework is online. Schedules, locations, travel and health or screening requirements vary by program and site, so plan for these responsibilities early.

The National Council Licensure Examination, known as the NCLEX, is a licensing exam for nursing graduates. Students who successfully complete CMVC's Associate of Science in Nursing program may be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN, while Practical Nursing graduates may be eligible to take the NCLEX-PN. Graduation does not automatically provide a nursing license. You must also pass the appropriate exam and meet the requirements of the applicable Board of Nursing.

CMVC Career Services helps students and graduates prepare for the job-search process through résumé support, interview preparation, job-search strategies and prospective employment leads.
