CompuMed Vocational Careers’ ASMA program prepares individuals seeking career advancement and increased employment opportunities in the medical field. The combination of the MA curriculum and the general education courses offered by Compu-Med Vocational Careers will enable the student to obtain an Associate of Science in Medical Assisting. Some of the classes provided to get a medical assistant degree include medical terminology, physical examination and vital signs, law and ethics, human anatomy, human growth and development, and more.
CMVC offers hands-on instruction to provide students the opportunity to learn MA skills and externship opportunities. Certified healthcare professionals will lead all medical assistant courses and externships. During this time, students are encouraged to make connections and network.
Students who want to complete the ASMA could have already completed a diploma program in Medical Assisting, and wish to further their career in Health Sciences but need to further build on their academic skills. The Associate’s degree aims to build upon their technical skills and sharpen their academic skills in basic English math and health sciences at the collegiate level. CMVC’s MA program is about 4 semesters long (approximately 20 months), requiring 1410 clock hours.
